" " " " This can be a great hobby (even earn while you learn). " " " " You might realize that you can tell a lot about a person by " "looking at the hand. " " " " You might be looking for the perfect LINE in order to start a " "conversation with strangers. " " " " You might be looking for someone with the right romantic potential " "you want. " " " " It could be you just want to eliminate those that don't have the " "right amount of income to interest you and KNOW it at the start. " " " " You might want to learn something to use at parties! " " " " You might want to learn palm reading for it's seriousness and " "business potential. " " " " You might want to get started and then continue on in depth to " "learn the health areas covered by hand reading. The list goes on " "and on. The best reason for most people is that you can talk to almost" "anyone about their hand at most anytime...... on the street, to a " "salesperson when they are adding up prices, to someone at work, to a " "person you just can't break the ice with or gatherings of all types. " "People respond with such enthusiasm that you will be amazed! " " " " Just running through this program will show you there is a lot you " "can see in others very quickly, even by glancing at a hand held at the" "side or up in the air. The interpretations in this program are " "general. You will be able to add a personal touch to interpreting a " "hand after just a few different runs through the program and reading " "the text output. Many factors are included for specific information " "about a person and all of them cannot be COMBINED in a program that " "covers so much as it is. You will be able to make those personal " "comments soon to show that you DO know something about reading hands. " "This program covers more than some of the small books on the subject " "and goes beyond in some areas! PALMISTRY FOR ALL is a program that " "gives you a delineation of a HAND without any prior knowledge of " "palmistry. This is done by using multiple choice menus for you to " "choose from. The process takes a while but there is no other way to " "enter the information needed and this is the next best thing to a " "personal hand reading. " " " " At the first BAR Menu, RUN takes you to the LOGO screen. <F1> " "will give you a quick information screen and <F1> from there shows " "a second information screen. From this second information screen any " "key continues to screen #1 of the input. At the the LOGO screen " "<ENTER> goes directly into screen #1 of the input for CHOICES. " " " " This second module is the input with 42 screens where you have " "descriptions you choose that best describe the hand you are looking " "at. You can choose one, many or all of the choices if they apply to " "the situiation. If no choices are appropriate or you want to skip " "screens, just press the Down Arrow, which takes you to the next " "screen. You cannot return to previous input screens. You have to abort" "and restart if you want to make corrections to input choices from " "screens you already passed. " " " " This input module has three major keys to press. The <ESC> key " "aborts the program completely. The Down Arrow key continues to the " "next input screen. The <F1> key pulls down a HELP screen except in the" "TYPES OF HANDS where it displays the different types of hands. In this" "HELP you press ENTER to continue thru all the hand screens. The ONLY " "way to exit a HELP screen is to press <ENTER>. You cannot abort when " "you are in a HELP screen. " " " " The first few screens don't have any graphic displays but as with " "all 42 screens you can pull down a HELP screen by pressing <F1>. The " "only way out of the HELP screen is by pressing <ENTER> and you return " "to the original screen display. While in the HELP you CANNOT abort the" "program (exit and leave without saving anything). ALL the screens in " "this series of 42 offers the choice of aborting with the <ESC> key. " "In the first and last program module you are SHOWN if <ESC> aborts or " "if <ESC> takes you to the previuous screen. " " " " In this module you choose any and as many options you find on a " "palm. Upper or lower case letters are accepted. Very few items if any " "any will stump you for at least one choice. If you decided to change " "a choice you made just press the number/letter AGAIN. An asterick " "will appear next to that line if the choice is made and disappear " "if RE-choosen. " " " " After studying the drawings (if you register or buy a book), " "looking at a few hands and reading some of the printouts you should " "be able to see plenty in a hand at a glance to start a conversation " "with a stranger very easily. Remember that when reading a hand " "personally, look at both of them. If you are looking for romance you " "may see frustration in the DOMINANT hand but plenty of potential in " "the MINOR hand. All it takes is for the person to start on a new path " "and bring out the POTENTIAL of his/her romantic side. The same goes " "for money! DO look at the MINOR hand for money lines. Before believ- " "ing all from a person look at that 4th finger! If you want to choose " "all the options in the program and print it out it will take 48 pages " "but could be worth reading at the start. " " " " After the input module of the program is completed (the 42 input " "screens), the program starts processing (the third module). At the " "beginning it asks you for the NAME of the person the report is for. " "ENTER a name for the program to write IN the output file for later " "verification when selecting a file to display from disk. The " "characters to use are best left to LETTERS and NUMBERS, no quotations " "or special characters! If the screen does not show the key you pressed" "it is NOT acceptable! " " " " You then go into the fourth module, the output. The screen display " "was added for quick viewing and only loads 300 records at a time. At " "the end of the first 300 records you are asked if you want to input " "more.......... to load the next 300 or amount of records that remain. " "To view you use the Pg Up, Pg Dn, Home, End, Up Arrow, Dn Arrow. To " "review the preceeding 300 records (lines of data), you have to go " "back to the output menu, get a file and redisplay it. The screen " "display only allows you to go forward/reverse in each group of 300 " "lines of data. The groups of 300 data lines are forward oriented only." " " " The printed output is for any ASCII printer. A report averages 14 " "pages. If all the choices are used from the input it is 48 pages. " " " " In the output module the first thing you do when the processing is " "finished and the MENU comes up is choose SAVE a file (IMPORTANT). " "You will be given a screen to enter an 8 character name for the file. " "To be safe with which characters are accepted by DOS just use letters " "and numbers. " " " " From there you are taken back to the MENU. You ALWAYS have to GET " "a file in order to display to scren or printer! (IMPORTANT). You GET a" "file then work with it. If you displayed to screen GET it again if you" "want to print it! Once in this output module you can GET any files " "saved (one at a time). The program will save up to 75 files but that " "is a lot of disk space at about 60K each. You will have to delete " "files as you don't need them to save space. " " " " When you GET a file it displays the person's NAME you saved that " "report for and asks if that is the file. If not, choose again. " " " "HELP THROUGH THE SCREENS AND THEIR ABBREVIATIONS " " " "WHICH HAND TO USE " " A 'FULL' personal hand reading consists of studying both hands. " "There is so much information in each hand that they are read " "seperately and compared. This program is lengthy and the person " "reading the report would relate better to a reading of the DOMINANT " "(MAJOR) hand. When you are able to read 'time' in a hand you can " "better give a reading of the MINOR hand. Normally the hand used for " "writing is the DOMINANT hand so you can assume this for now.. This " "hand is 'reality', 'the present', the 'life to-date'. You can see " "this in the lines. In the DOMINANT hand some lines will not be as " "long as in the MINOR hand due to the life only being partially lived " "(the MINOR hand showing the full life potential). The lines most " "likely will not look the same in both hands. This is due to many " "factors: we outlive things from the past, correct mistakes, heal " "physically or mentally, take a chance that causes us to take a " "diffferent direction for a while, make a wrong choice and have " "difficulties for a while..... etc. The MINOR hand is our inner self " "also referred to as FATE (DESTINY) and POTENTIAL (the best word). " "When looking at the hands you can spot the differences and make " "qualified statements as you get familar with the lines and marks. " "Your vocabulary will grow as you try to phrase everything " "differently all the time. Start with one line when delving into it " "deeply THEN start on another to study in depth. You can work on " "friends or relatives. After a few hands you will understand the " "differences and how to relate to different situations. As far as TIME " "goes the best and quickest way to read it is by dividing the lines in " "THIRDS. The first third will be youth the second third will be middle " "age and the last third will be old age. There is more to TIME than " "this but you will be fairly accurate most of the time. Don't try to " "see accidents, divorces, major problems too clearly time-wise, you " "can be far off and worry a person unnecessarily. " " " "GENERAL HAND TEXTURE " " A hand is hard, soft or just right (average). In most cases you " "should be able to tell which. It is hard to describe just what is " "average. Guessing is the best I can tell you if you are not sure. An " "average hand won't deviate so much for a meaning if you aren't quite " "sure. The hand surely must be close to average if you can't decide. " "After feeling a few hands you will notice the differece. " " " "BACK OF HAND SHAPE " " Looking at a hand from the back (not palm side) it is easier to " "tell it's size (check the help screen). " " " "HAND TEMPERATURE " " The hand temperature should be very easy to recognize. Hot and " "cold are extreme enough for you to feel. " " " "HAND MOISTURE " " A damp hand is easy to tell. A dry hand can be misleading. You " "have to feel both sides to make sure it IS dry. And of course make " "sure YOUR hands are not very dry when doing this. It could throw you " "you off a whole lot. " " " "COLOR OF THE HAND " " This can cause a problem AT FIRST with different races. You just " "have to get to know the standard color of the palms of races you " "aren't familiar with. I would think Far East individuals are the " "hardest to differentiate. " " " "BLEMISHES ON THE HAND " " The blemishes are just that blemishes. Don't consider the little " "round birthmarks as blemishes but irregular shaped ones are. " " " "TYPE OF HANDS " " This could be a problem area. Some hands are very easy to classify " "and some are difficult. In order of easiest to most difficult: " " A) ELEMENTAL " " This hand is not often seen. The fingers are stubby and " " sqaure and the thumb is short and rotated somewhat with the " " fingernail in thesame direction as the finger fingernails. " " " " B) SQUARE " " The hand is the same width at the ends of the fingers and " " at the base of the hand (just above wrist). Normally has square " " finger ends. The 'palm' is usually as wide as long (side to side" " and base to bottom of fingers). " " " " C) POINTED " " This hand is quickly noticed. It is sort of 'pretty'. It is like" " an ALMOND. Rounded and wider at the base than the ends of the " " fingers, which taper to smooth pointed ends. Also called the " " psychic hand. " " " " D) MIXED " " It is called mixed because it contains many of the different " " types of hands in one. The palm is not of any one type. Maybe " " sqaure but one area is rounded, maybe a square palm but long " " tapered fingers etc. The fingers are different. They are an " " assortment which can range from spade to pointed to square all " " on one hand. " " " " E) SPADE-SHAPED " " This hand is narrower at the base than at the top of the palm " " (under the ends of the fingers) and wider at the finger ends " " than at the base (area above wrist). " " " " F) KNOTTY " " This hand has a palm that is usually wide. The thumb is long and" " probably pointed. The fingers are BONY; large joints. The tips " " are probably tapered. Nails are probably long (not cut short). " " " " G) CONE-SHAPED " " The base is full and rounded. It is wider at the base than at " " the ends of the fingers. Thus resembling a 'cone'. The fingers " " are long and smooth, possibly pointed. " " " " To draw pictures of these hands is difficult seeing that there is " "no ONE size for each classification. The best thing to do is eliminate" "those it ISN'T to figure out what type of hand it IS. " " " "LIFE LINE " " The Life Line starts on the RADIAL side of the palm (thumb and " "first finger side). Branches are lines that leave the MAIN line. Wavy " "is a path). line that curves many times or just once (deviates from " "it's normal Lines moving UP or DN (meaning DOWN) are like little " "branches. " " " "HEAD LINE " " The head line starts at the RADIAL side. Remember that is the side " "of the thumb and first finger. MOUNT/MOON means Mount of Moon " "(PERCUSSION) side of palm is by the BASE). " " MOUNTS or LINES..... Starts inside life line means it starts on " " the thumb side of the Life Line. Index finger is the first finger." " You will hear and use a lot of different terms. " " " "HEART LINE " " The heart line starts at the Percussion side of the palm and ends " "further in on the palm. Ends between 1st & 2nd means ends between " "first finger and second finger. More marked means that it is deeper " "and maybe more colored. COARSE means not a SMOOTH line. " " " "FATE LINE " " The Fate Line starts at the base of the palm and ends in the upper " "portion of the palm. Strongest line on hand means that it would 'stand" "out' when looking at the hand. You will see lines that stand out but " "one might be so much so you see it FIRST. Starts above base/hand means" "starts above the base of the hand starts somewhere on the palm but NOT" "at the lower portion. Ends 1st means ends at first finger. ALL such " "references (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th) mean fingers. Branches in FM M/MOON " "means branches in from Mount of Moon. The line is going INTO the Fate " "line in the same direction as the Fate line. " " " "FAME LINE " " The fame line starts at the lower end and 'ends' at the upper end. " "Many short under 3rd means many short lines under third finger. These " "would be in the MOUNT area. " " " "HEALTH LINE " " The health line 'starts'at the lower end. The upper end is the " "'end'. Line in UPPER or LOWER palm means that the line in it's " "entirety is in either the upper or lower portion of the palm. " " " "MARRIAGE LINE " " The marriage line starts at the PERCUSSION side of the palm (side " "offourth finger). Numerous means more than the other choices offer. " " " "CHILD LINES " " No start or ending preferences. " " " "CHILDREN LINE " " No start or ending preferences. " " " "INTUITION LINE " " No start or ending preferences. " " " "TRAVEL LINE " " The travel line start at the percussion side of the palm and ends " "further onto the palm. " " " "WISDOM LINE " " The wisdom line starts on the side by the thumb (RADIAL) but " "further in on the palm. It can start on the thumb side of the life " "line. It can cross ONLY the fate line. It can cross any lines and then" "cross the health line last. 'X' means crosses over. " " " "GIRDLE OF VENUS " " No start or ending preference. This line is curved and usually a " "NICE curve ABOVE the heart line. It DOES NOT cross down over the heart" "line. " " " "MONEY LINES " " The money lines start at the base and end at the different fingers." " " "THE RINGS " " No start or ending preference. The chain is around the second thumb" "joint. " " " "QUADRANGLE " " The area shaded in the drawing between the head and heart line. " " " "TRIANGLE " " The area shaded in the drawing UNDER the head line between the life" "and health line. " " " "BRACELETS " " Numerous means more than the one stated or three stated. Some lines" "can be full and others broken/chained. Choose any options that you see" "on the lines. Points up in center means that the line closest to the " "base (toward fingers) curves up from both sides and POINTS up where " "the two lines coming in from the sides meet. You will see this on a " "hand soon enough to recognize it. " " " "MOUNT OF VENUS " " This is by the thumb. Overdeveloped means larger than normal (more " "than a small buldge). Underdeveloped means not much of a buldge. " "shoule not be flat. The mounts are close to round with a little oblong" "stretching vertically. " " " "MOUNT OF JUPITER " " This is under the first finger. Cross 'X' means a cross that " "crosses on angles. Cross '+' means a cross that crosses horizontally " "and vertically. Small vertical lines means small vertical lines on the" "mount. Small horizontal lines means small horizontal lines on the " "miunt. A line to head/life/fate line means a line start here and goes " "to one of these lines. " " " "MOUNT OF SATURN " " This is under the second finger. Toward means that the mount is off" "center and a little toward the specified side. " " " "MOUNT OF URANUS " " This is under the third finger. Under 3rd & 4th means it is large " "and under both either in whole or partially. DEEP spot means that the " "spot is not superficial but deep into the skin. " " " "MOUNT OF MERCURY " " This is under the fourth finger. On the side of the palm means that" "it is either wholly or partially on the PERCUSSION side. Clear small " "vert lines means clear small vertical lines on the mount. Something " "you will see easily and soon. " " " "MOUNT OF MARS " " This is on the PERCUSSION side of the palm between the head and " "heart line. It can 'extend' by being LARGE or oblong in that " "particular direction. " " " "MOUNT OF MOON " " This is on the percussion side of the palm by the base. It is " "somewhat oval. 'Extending ' is the same as above. " " " "FINGERS " " Choose any and all of the choices that pertain to the hand you are " "studying. See the drawing for good examples. " " " "NAILS " " The nails are very noticeable and you should be able to choose them" "easily. See enclosed drawings. " " " "COLOR OF NAILS " " The general color. Make sure the hand is not overheated or cold " "from the environment. " " " "BASE JOINTS " " The abbreviations for the fingers are the same. This is the joint " "of the finger at the palm. Where the 'crease' is at the end of the " "finger. " " " "FINGER ARRANGEMENT " " This is the spacing between the fingers. If the fingers are CLOSE " "there won't be any space at the base joint area between them. Evenly " "spaced means that there is an even spacing between all the fingers. " "Well seperated means that the joints at the palm are apart and this " "leaves the fingers spaced well apart. See drawing for thumb angle for " "large and average spacing of the thumb. 4th far from others means that" "it is far enough away from the third finger to look out of place. " " " "JUPITER FINGER (1ST) " " This finger averages to the middle of the second finger fingernail." "See large hand drawing for PHALANGES. Bend your finger and look at it " "from the side. You see three different lengths of the finger at " "different angles. The tip is the FIRST phalange the midde is the " "SECOND phalange and the lower portion is the THIRD phalange. Thin " "vertical lines means thin vertical lines on the palm side of the " "finger. " " " "SATURN FINGER (2ND) " " Average length is longer than the other fingers but the first and " "third fingers should end in the fingernail area of the second finger. " "3rd joint at palm narrower than other 3rd joints means that the WIDTH " "of the BASE of the second finger is narrower than the widths of the " "others at the base. " " " "URANUS FINGER (3RD) " " Tip curved to palm means that the tip (first phalange) is curved " "over toward the palm side. Deformed means an abnormailty. " " " "MERCURY FINGER (4TH) " " Average length for the fourth finger is to the joint between the " "first and second phalange of the third finger. Bent is bent in any " "direction. 3rd joint very low means that the base joint is VERY low " "from the other base joints. Curved toward palm means the finger is " "curved over toward the palm side. " " " "THUMB " " The average length of the thumb is to the middle of the first " "finger third phalange. See drawing. Rigid/flexible means that you " "push back gently on the thumb and if it goes back easily it is " "flexible, if it is VERY difficult to push back it is rigid. Smooth is " "not knotty (large joints). 2nd joint low on palm means that the lower " "joint of the thumb is low on the BASE making it more squarish. Bent in" "toward palm means just that. The thumb naturally bends in rather than " "outward. Hammer thumb has a tip that is bent back and thick. " " " " There is extra information in some screen displays for you to digest" "as terminology. " " " " In the output module you can Quit or return to the START <F10>. You" "can choose Quit first without saving the output file just created with" "a full RUN. It will be renamed U-FORGOT.FIL. If you repeat this.... " "Quit before saving the NEXT output file created, the old U-FORGOT.FIL " "will be overwritten with this last output file created that you didn't" "save. " " " " Output files end with '.FIL'. To delete a file, make sure you are " "in the sub-directory.......CD\PALM, know the spelling of the file you " "want to delete then type: " " ERASE 'name of file' (including the extension of .FIL) " " You can do this for any/all the output files created. " " " " The files ending in .TXT are the information files. The files " "ending in .EXE are program files. The .DAT file is the main data file." " " "NOTES " " Once you get interested in palm reading, of which most of you will," "you can purchase any of the books on the subject. But to go beyond " "what this program covers you should look at those in the price range " "OVER $10, possibly those around $24 list price. There are a FEW great " "books on the subject. Look at the pictures and check for quality " "descriptions of those pictures! Read about the author and his/her " "Chirology background. " " "
